Innovations - LFB Methodology

A methodology has been developed to build longitudinal databases using the basic levels of abstraction of a database -conceptual, logical and physical-.
The method provides rules for the building of an entity/relationship schema which includes architecturally the dimensionality -protocol, object, data- of a longitudinal fact base, the persistence of its elements and issues aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the system in respect of queries.
The relational model has been chosen for the logical level and the SQL language for the physical level.
The method also provides specific transformations between levels of abstraction which include conditions and quality issues for developing a longitudinal fact base.
Just to point out that at the conceptual level a form of conceptual persistence of the statecharts has been used -similar to UML-, which naturally spreads to the following levels.
